(HR) Ariba - managing contract service orders

This 1.5 hour course aims to educate attendees on managing their Contract Service Orders (CSOs) in the Ariba Procure to Pay (P2P) system, which is designed to make direct purchasing with our contracted suppliers easier, more efficient and more transparent. The course content will include how to raise a CSO, finding and understanding a CSO in Ariba, understanding the Contract Variation process and approving invoices.

Who should attend

Western Power employees or embedded / fixed term contractors who work with Contract Service Orders and/or approve CSO invoices as part of their role at Western Power.

Course delivery

Instructor led, interactive and hands-on with each attendee having access to a computer. Attendees will be guided through the course content and practical activities by an experienced trainer.

Cost

There is no charge for this course.

Prerequisites

  • basic computer skills and knowledge of the Ariba P2P process
  • previous completion of Ariba P2P e-Learning modules would be an advantage. Refer to the Ariba P2P page in Busbar

Note: This course is not a general purchasing course, but focuses specifically on how to manage CSOs using the Ariba network.

Learning outcomes

As a result of attending this course, participants will:

  • gain knowledge of Western Power’s business commerce network Ariba
  • be able to navigate the Ariba P2P environment
  • understand the basic process of raising a CSO
  • find key information about a CSO
  • change work order numbers on an invoice
  • be able to undertake invoice exception reconciliations
