Introduction to Western Power switching procedures

Overview of the responsibilities an Authorised Switching Operator requires for Level O – eNAR authorisation.

People who raise eNARs or Cert III lineworkers or cable jointers or electricians.

Learning outcomes

As a result of attending this course you should be able to:

  • be compliant with regulatory requirements for customer notifications (LSE)
  • complete an eNAR to the satisfaction of system management requirements
  • have a base knowledge of Western Power’s switching computer applications.

Prerequisites

  • Western Power login with access to The Grid
  • access to PowerOn Webview
  • access to Geoview with access to LSE customers

Application for access to these systems must be submitted to the Western Power IT Service Desk before you attend the course.

Please note

  • We recommend you allow sufficient time for the processing of your access (a minimum of 7 working days prior to class commencement ).
  • The application request must be made by you and your Formal Leader, not PTS.
  • If you attend class without the correct access, you will be deemed as not having the required prerequisites to continue.

What to wear

PTS dress standards (long sleeve top, long pants & enclosed shoes)

Assessments

Assessments are included in this course. Participants will not be considered to have completed this course until all assessments have been completed to a satisfactory level.
